How to verify blogger/blogspot blogs in google webmaster tools

So you have created a new blog and now you want to see review the progress that your blog is making, the traffic it is grabbing and how much Google crawlers like your blog. You must be wondering how to do this? The option is not very difficult you need to register your blog in the Google Webmaster Tools. Once you reach the webmaster tools page, follow the steps below:

  1. Register you new account or signin to Google Webmaster Tools with your existing Google account
  2. Once logged into the account, on the home page, click on Add a site button
  3. In the text box that appears enter the complete URL of your blog like 'http://ebizhome.blogspot.com/
  4. You will be taken to a new page where you will see:
    1. Site URL
    2. Verification Status
    3. Verification Method (dropdown is displayed with Meta Tag option already selected)
    4. Meta tag highlighted in a box (This is your key to Google Webmaster Tools Verification)
    5. Verify & Verify Later buttons
  5. Copy the meta tag by selecting the text that is displayed in the box.
  6. Login to your blog (In a new window)
  7. Click on the Layout option in the tabs on the top
  8. Once on the Layout page, click on the 'Edit Html' link just below the Layout tab
  9. You will see a page with a text editor and some misterious editable text, called HTML in it :)
  10. Locate a line with the text '' in it, it will be around 8th line from the top
  11. Just after paste the code that you copied from Webmaster tool verification page
  12. Now click the 'Save Template' button
  13. Again go back to the webmaster tool page that was opened in the other tab/page
  14. Click on the Verify button

2004 to 2009 Prius Included in Toyota's September 2009 Recall

Toyota has just announced a huge recall. About 3.8 million vehicles are included, and that includes the 2004 to 2009 Prius hybrid. Since that's probably a fairly popular car with our readers, we thought it would be a good idea to let you know. Other models affected are: 2007 to 2010 Camry; 2005 to 2010 Avalon; 2005 to 2010 Tacoma; 2007 to 2010 Tundra; 2007 to 2010 ES 350; and 2006 to 2010 IS 250 and 2006 to 2010 IS 350.
Reasons Behind Toyota Recall September 2009

Toyota writes: "Recent events have prompted Toyota to take a closer look at the potential for an accelerator pedal to get stuck in the full open position due to an unsecured or incompatible driver's floor mat. A stuck open accelerator pedal may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop the vehicle, which could cause a crash, serious injury or death.
Until Toyota develops a remedy, it is asking owners of specific Toyota and Lexus models to take out any removable driver's floor mat and NOT replace it with any other floor mat."

What to do if your floor mat gets stuck behind your gas pedal?

First, don't panic! Here are Toyota's instructions:

Should the vehicle continue to accelerate rapidly after releasing the accelerator pedal, this could be an indication of floor mat interference. If this occurs, Toyota recommends the driver take the following actions:

First, if it is possible and safe to do so, pull back the floor mat and dislodge it from the accelerator pedal; then pull over and stop the vehicle.

If the floor mat cannot be dislodged, then firmly and steadily step on the brake pedal with both feet. Do NOT pump the brake pedal repeatedly as this will increase the effort required to slow the vehicle.

Shift the transmission gear selector to the Neutral (N) position and use the brakes to make a controlled stop at the side of the road and turn off the engine.

If unable to put the vehicle in Neutral, turn the engine OFF, or to ACC. This will not cause loss of steering or braking control, but the power assist to these systems will be lost.
